Insight Investment is looking for a Compliance Analyst to join the Insight Europe team. You will support the Head of Compliance in the development, implementation, and maintenance of both the Compliance Framework and Anti-Money Laundering Framework for Insight Europe.
In addition to ensuring Insight Europe meets its regulatory expectations, the role will be part of the Group Fund Compliance function.
Role Responsibilities
- Assisting in the drafting of reporting to the EMCE, Board and other governance committees.
- Participate in execution of the IIMEL compliance plan which includes full compliance monitoring reviews, thematic reviews, provision of the necessary training and provision of advice in respect of IIMEL.
- Maintenance of regulatory horizon scanner including a monitoring of deadlines for implementation of any new regulatory developments by way of legislation or CBI guidance. Hold regular meetings with the Head of Regulatory Development at Insight Global and liaise with your counterpart at BNY.
- Review new regulatory developments including legislation and draft a comprehensive synopsis of your interpretation of the development outlining how you anticipate it may impact the business.
- Provide support for all requests for information from the CBI and liaise with the CBI supervision team in respect of any material issues.
- Take a lead role in updating of policies by supporting the Head of Compliance in annual updates.
- Be the main point of contact at IIMEL for the German branch based in Frankfurt. This includes providing guidance on the regulatory obligations and other ad hoc queries.
- Take a lead role in the IIMEL compliance team’s oversight of delegates including annual due diligence on the Fund Administrators and Insight Global.
- Supporting the Head of Compliance in their AML function through the drafting of MLRO reports, BNY AML Risk Assessments, reviewing and updating the IIMEL AML policy and AML risk assessment.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including the Depositaries and BNYM Compliance in respect of potential breaches on the funds, ad hoc queries or Central Bank filings.
Experience Required
- Previous experience (2+ years) within a compliance or regulatory role in an asset manager or other fund service provider.
- Good knowledge of the regulatory framework for fund management companies is preferable but not necessary.
- Proficient working with Microsoft Office product.
- Interest in and an understanding of the asset management sector and fund structures.
- Good problem solving and analytic skills required.
- A strong ability to build and maintain relationships with colleagues in different locations, teams and relative seniorities.
