The Role
Sell and manage group room business for two boutique hotels through prospecting, negotiating contracts, coordinating cross-departmental execution, running site inspections, responding to RFPs, tracking revenue performance in CRM, and representing the hotels at events and trade shows.
Summary Generated by Built In

• Generate group room revenue for both Walker Hotel Greenwich Village and Walker Hotel Tribeca through proactive prospecting, lead generation, and strategic business development.

• Solicit and secure new corporate, association, entertainment, production, government, leisure, and social group business for both properties.

• Own the full sales cycle — from first inquiry through contract negotiation, event planning, arrival, and post-event follow-up.

• Respond fast to RFPs and client inquiries with sharp, customized proposals, contracts, room block agreements, and correspondence.

• Negotiate rates, concessions, and contract terms that maximize revenue and protect profitability.

• Run site inspections and client presentations at both properties for meeting planners, travel professionals, and prospective clients.

• Partner with Revenue Management on pricing strategy grounded in market conditions, demand, and business mix.

• Coordinate with Operations, Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Sales Support to execute flawless group arrivals and events.

• Oversee group rooming lists, billing, VIP requests, and group logistics from signed contract through departure.

• Sell meeting space, rooftop receptions, private dining, and other ancillary revenue opportunities.

• Build lasting relationships with clients, travel professionals, meeting planners, and third-party partners that keep business coming back.

• Keep account information, sales activity, production reports, and revenue forecasts current and accurate in the CRM.

• Track booking pace and production against monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.

• Represent both hotels at networking events, client functions, and industry organizations.

• Attend at least one industry trade show or sales mission annually — travel required — to generate new business and strengthen the Walker Hotels brand.

• Deliver a client experience as sharp as your sales pitch, start to finish.

• Partner with Marketing on promotional campaigns, seasonal packages, digital content, and sales collateral.

• Communicate client expectations clearly to operational teams so nothing gets lost in the handoff.

• Bring energy and ideas to weekly strategy meetings focused on revenue optimization and business development.

• An established network across corporate travel, meetings, and hospitality.

• Excellent presentation, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
