About the role

This role has been recently created to lead a range in support of the Global Category reporting into the Platform Head.

In this role your key areas of focus will include the following Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and lead strategy translation from Commercial Category to Supply Chain to set supply chain up for success
  • Co-lead category long term capacity planning with planning hubs, collaborating with network strategy. 
  • Lead the Complexity Reduction Team for the Platform, responsible for:
    • Driving simplification transformation of the OTC portfolio
    • Analysing the existing portfolio & propose optimisation business cases to drive SKU and Formulation reduction (driving cost & cash saving).
    • Influencing Category Commercial and R&D on complexity considerations
  • Set up efficiently and deliver projects/programmes of high complexity (e.g. involving new technology, high change management/disruption, high savings or high risk, multiple functions, multi-Business Units) partnering closely with Supply Chain, Commercial and R&D team members.
  • Ensure solutions have supply resiliency and agility as a goal, enabling balanced scorecard delivery considering consumer, sustainability, quality, safety, service, complexity and cost
  • Lead capability building and embed best practices and behaviors in the team through coaching, mentoring & training and deliver new ways of working and subsequent enhancements through learnings
  • Manage self and team through change, maintaining positivity and optimism while being realistic, managing risks strongly ensuring visibility of scenarios and potential impacts to stakeholders
  • Accountable to ensure the setup of a clear structure at the outset of any major programme including but not limited to Governance, team roles and responsibilities, performance management, project planning, budget, risk and issue management. Partnering closely with cross-enterprise leadership.
  • Programme expert to ensure timely decision making, effective stakeholder communication, adherence to applicable processes, contingency planning and execution.
  • High proficiency in proactively identifying risks and issues and drive resolution; ensure comprehensive risk assessment, scenario planning and mitigation plans are in place for all projects.

Qualifications and skills

  • 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain in a consumer healthcare environment or related area (e.g., CPG, pharmaceutical, etc.).
  • Operations experience preferred to ensure the change is through an optimal solution that provides supply resilience and balanced score card performance (through the change and after the change)
  • Project/Change Management Experience
  • Broad business knowledge (beyond QSC, for example commercial, R&D, regulatory) and demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated proficiency in driving resolution of team conflicts through skilled negotiation and diplomacy, elevating to accountable functional leaders as necessary.
  • Higher education degree in Sciences, Business/Finance, Engineering
  • Budgeting and forecasting, commercial and financial acumen.
