We're looking for an experienced and customer-focused Complaint Resolution Specialist to join our team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, navigating regulatory requirements, and delivering fair customer outcomes within a fast-paced financial services environment.

You will be responsible for managing complex customer complaints relating to online trading and investment services, including matters escalated to external dispute resolution bodies such as the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA).

What you’ll be working on

  • Investigating and resolving complex customer complaints from start to finish.

  • Managing complaints involving:

    • Trade execution and pricing disputes

    • Platform and technology issues

    • Corporate actions

    • Margin lending and margin calls

    • Fees, interest and account calculations

    • Account administration matters

  • Preparing clear and well-reasoned written responses.

  • Managing complaints escalated to AFCA and other external dispute resolution schemes.

  • Working closely with teams across Trading, Technology, Operations, Compliance, Legal and Risk.

  • Identifying root causes and opportunities to improve customer outcomes.

  • Supporting complaint governance and regulatory reporting activities.

What will help you be successful?

You'll thrive in this role if you're naturally curious, solutions-focused and enjoy investigating complex issues to deliver fair, balanced outcomes. You combine strong analytical thinking with excellent judgement and communication skills, allowing you to confidently manage challenging customer situations while balancing customer outcomes with regulatory requirements.

You'll bring experience handling complex complaints or dispute resolution within financial services, including interpreting legislation and communicating clear, well-reasoned decisions. Experience with AFCA matters, ASIC Regulatory Guide 271 (RG271), or within stockbroking, online trading or wealth management will be highly regarded.

Qualifications in law, finance, commerce, business or a related discipline are also advantageous.

You must hold full working rights in Australia to be eligible for this role.

Skills Required

  • Experience handling complex complaints or dispute resolution within financial services
  • Experience managing complaints escalated to external dispute resolution bodies such as AFCA
  • Ability to interpret relevant legislation and regulatory guidance and communicate clear, well-reasoned decisions
  • Full working rights in Australia (must be eligible to work without sponsorship)
  • Strong analytical thinking, judgement, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with AFCA matters, ASIC Regulatory Guide 271 (RG271), stockbroking, online trading or wealth management
  • Qualifications in law, finance, commerce, business or a related discipline
  • Willingness/ability to work five days in the office
