Job Description
The Competitive Technical Research Analyst at Rubrik, Inc. will be a key player in ensuring Rubrik’s sales teams continue to dominate the competition. Your primary responsibility is to weaponize key competitive intelligence, maintain internal collateral, and directly interact with internal sales teams, channel partners, and prospects. You will use competitive insights to develop and deliver compelling messaging, battle cards, presentations, and sales training.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales enablement team to create sales training, tools (cheat sheets,, presentations, etc.),
- Work with field enablement and field success teams to establish take-out approaches as part of standard sales plays.
- Create defensible analysis with proof points and positioning of Rubrik solutions favorably against the competition
- Responsible for the data analysis and feedback processes to provide a quarterly view of the competitive landscape.
- Provide day zero support to the field team for emerging product features and keeping the team abreast on equivalent features from competitive products
- Produce deep dive documentation on product features and solutions with comparison to competitive products for the various field teams
- Work with the product management and product marketing team to put together collaterals helpful for demand generation
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a discrete quota carrying, field sales team role as a sales engineer or solution architect
- Experience implementing and managing data protection solutions such as Cohesity DataProtect, Veeam Backup & Recovery, DellEMC IDPA / DataProtect, Veritas NetBackup, and Commvault
- Familiarity with unstructured data protection from sources like OnPrem NAS and Cloud object storage
- Experience developing technical presentations
- Good understanding of cloud computing architectures, products, and landscape
- Understanding of SaaS application protection with regard to cyber resilience
- Strong understanding of the real-world customer issues and the need for data protection and cyber resilience
- Ability to collaborate with various groups and drive projects forward
- Strong aptitude for analyzing competitor's products, strategy, and messaging
- Aptitude for translating technical features into business value as a means of differentiating Rubrik offerings
- Executes with urgent curiosity at the speed of sales
