About the Role
The Compensation Manager role is a hands-on role that focuses on building a comprehensive compensation program that is competitive and scalable as Lyra continues to grow. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience and a drive to evolve compensation programs in a mission-focused, hyper-growth start-up in the mental health space. We are looking for a thought partner and team player who loves collaborating on various projects with other members of the People organization at Lyra.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement compensation programs that align with the organization’s compensation philosophy and overall business objectives
- Monitors the effectiveness of existing compensation practices and recommends changes that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives
- Provides consultation to managers and HR Business Partners on complex pay decisions, policy interpretations, and job evaluations
- Conduct market research and analysis to derive insights and provide recommendations
- Ensure that compensation programs are administered consistently and equitably across the organization
- Oversees the participation in salary surveys and monitors salary survey data to ensure corporate compensation objectives are achieved
- Leads the year end compensation planning process in partnership with leadership
- Ensures compliance with federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations
- Provide support in the preparation of materials for the Compensation & Talent Committee
- Participate in a variety of HR and compensation-related projects, including ad-hoc studies, projects, and analysis
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in compensation management with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related field
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on excellence
- Great team player with a collaborative mindset towards the team
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and drive towards results
- Demonstrated analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- Thoughtfulness, flexibility and a positive attitude
- Understanding of federal and state labor laws
- Fluent in Workday, Google Apps and MS Office
