SUMMARY
To plan, organize and control various areas of Compensation including SSC (headquarters), Store Operations, Distribution Centers, Truck Pro. Establishes plans and procedures used in carrying out corporate compensation policies, procedures and pay programs, including base pay administration, incentive plans (bonus) and annual merit pay programs. Enhances quality and productivity, improves or maintains competitive market position, ensures cost effectiveness and timely administration of compensation programs and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, organizes, directs and controls the job evaluation program, including job analysis, job description development, grading, and systemic entry and accuracy of job/salary information.
Plans, organizes, directs and controls incentive (bonus) programs, including tracking, calculations, verifications, management approvals and timely payment
Plans, organizes, directs and controls annual merit programs, including all exempt and non-exempt pay groups. Assures timely administration, calculations, verifications, management approvals and system updates.
Conducts research on compensation plans used in other companies (competitors) and makes recommendations for improving the effectiveness of existing AZO compensation programs.
Analyzes company compensation policies, government regulations concerning payment of minimum wages and overtime pay, prevailing rates in similar organizations to comply with legal requirements and to establish competitive programs designed to attract, retain and motivate AutoZoners.
Researches market data and recommends merit targets, promotional increases, for budgeting purposes.
Plans and maintains corporate performance management program, including for development, communication and program guidelines.
Assists in the design and implementation of compensation systems, including compensation databases, compensation tracking reporting systems, and HRIS PeopleSoft enhancements to improve information accuracy and productivity.
