Essential Functions
- Lead the design, administration, and continuous improvement of compensation programs (base, variable, short-term incentives, annual merit, bonuses, and recognition) for both manufacturing and corporate populations.
- Oversee compensation planning cycles, including annual merit, bonus, and incentive processes, ensuring alignment with business strategy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert analysis and recommendations using advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas, modeling).
- Administer and configure large-scale HRIS platforms for compensation, performance
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and business leaders to collect business requirements, analyze compensation trends, and support organizational decision-making.
- Manage participation in and analysis of compensation surveys (including Mercer), ensuring competitive benchmarking and market alignment.
- Evaluate jobs, develop job descriptions, and oversee job architecture across manufacturing and corporate functions.
- Conduct regular market analyses to ensure compensation programs remain competitive within CPG and manufacturing sectors.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management on compensation benchmarking, budget compliance, and program effectiveness.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure the integrity of compensation data and processes.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring department budgets, ensuring alignment with financial goals
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Mathematics or Statistics (Master’s or CCP Preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a lead compensation role overseeing multi-site manufacturing and corporate environments.
- Preferred Experience working in a large HRIS system such as Workday, ADP, Ceridian, UKG, Fusion or other solution.
- Exceptional analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas).
Language Skills
- A successful candidate must be fluent in the English language (oral and written).
Mathematical Skills
- Basic math skills required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
- Ability to analyze and interpret large amounts of data.
Reasoning Ability
- This position requires the ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and be proactive. The candidate must also maintain confidentiality to ensure that the integrity of the department is not jeopardized.
Physical Demands
- The physical demands require a significant amount of computer screen time, standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, lifting, reaching, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception.
