Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Career team at Mercer. This role will be based in Louisville and offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office.

As a Compensation & Benefits Consultant, you will play a key role in crafting tailored client presentations and conducting in-depth data analysis using advanced Excel models. Your insights will inform strategic recommendations, ensuring accuracy and high-quality deliverables within deadlines. Collaborating closely with project teams and clients, you will manage small to medium projects, oversee methodology development, and support business growth through industry research and client engagement. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to influence compensation and benefits strategies while working at the forefront of industry trends.

We will count on you to:

  • Develop and customize client presentations and reports, ensuring accuracy and high quality delivery within deadlines and budgets
  • Perform advanced data analysis using Excel models, drawing insights and conclusions for review by project managers and senior consultants
  • Review and develop exhibits and financial data analyses, ensuring correctness and relevance for client deliverables
  • Collaborate with project teams to determine content for final presentations and manage small to medium-sized projects and workstreams
  • Serve as a primary client contact for methodology, data requests, and project updates, facilitating communication between clients and internal teams
  • Utilize proprietary tools, public filings, and industry research to gather market intelligence on compensation, benefits, and industry trends
  • Support business development efforts through project planning, pricing, and participation in client meetings and industry research

What you need to have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in management consulting, compensation, total rewards, and/or benefits
  • Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, and solid proficiency in Excel
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work under tight deadlines or changing client needs
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Intellectual curiosity, seeking opportunities to develop new skills
