Main duties and responsibilities
Global compensation
- Designs project specific performance and retention incentive plans, as well as supporting on global initiatives including the Annual Salary Review
- Analyses the output and prepares reports for the Group C&BP, the SVP of HR and the wider HR team as and when required
- Supports the Group C&BP on the annual pay review; creates specific reports and coordinates the annual process with the Group C&BP & HRBP’s
- Ensures compensation data contained in Workday is updated in a timely manner by the HRBP’s globally, following the completion of the annual pay review and throughout the year
- Conducts benchmark review(s) to position Global Blue within the market for salary and benefits
First line support to Global Payroll queries
- Central contact for our first line queries related to the current central payroll provider (SGG)
- Ensures that the relevant policies and processes are in place to comply with regulations, evaluates & assesses any gaps to the Group C&BP
- Reviews 3rd party arrangements with our global payroll provider, helps negotiate terms, sets the KPI’s and manages the service level agreement
- In special circumstances supports locally to review, check and or approve the monthly payroll, and acts as the “4 eyes principles”
- Ensures consistent payroll reporting to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)
Financial Reporting
- Gathers data to support the Group C&BP to produce the annual compensation report
- Ensures that local payroll teams in the group calculate social charges correctly following vesting of shares
- Provides the Group C&BP financial reports following annual bonus review; quarterly reports for the calculation of share-based payments fair value calculation
- Supports in preparing Comp & Ben reports & carries out analysis & audits as required by the business
GB Incentive Plans
- Administers the company share scheme & maintains existing database of data
- Develops a solid understanding of the employee ownership platform
- Acts as the gatekeeper for tax and legal compliance with our share plan rules
- Responsible for ensuring documentation is prepared and shared with all shareholders
Group Governance (SOX and Audit)
- Be the first line of support for queries on all group level matters related to financial regulations, the impact on payroll and all elements of compensation
- Ensures compliance with SOX best practice for components such as Payroll (central provider and local provider), annual pension calculation and provision, annual pay review etc
- Executes projects surrounding SOX compliance & ensures that all necessary SOX related policies are in place as needed
Global Benefits
- Overseeing the group arrangements in place for the pension providers and reviews the provision on a regular basis
- Ensures all information regarding group benefits is up to date and easily accessible to all employees
- Provides analysis to the business on take up and use of group benefits and provides recommendations
- Supports the Group C&BP in the management of group policies such as car policy & travel & expense policy
Global mobility
- Supports the Group C&BP for devising and implementing a global mobility policy for Global Blue
- Supports the Group C&BP in managing any inter company moves from country to country by supporting the individual with advice or providing them with the correct specialists (e.g., tax)
Key competencies
- Strong knowledge of compensation processes, especially for executive compensation and equity plan for global listed company is a must
- Experience of managing and running payroll
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance or related field
- Experience within a compensation and benefits role with an international remit
- Detail oriented, and able to present data in a manner which is clear and easy to understand, and analyse data with solution-based outcomes to drive business decisions
- Organised and systematic, with a proactive approach to problem solving
Preferable skills and competencies
- Experience balancing ever-changing work demands in a challenging environment with numerous stakeholders to satisfy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word and Excel, Power Point and Workday as a plus
- Is accurate and detailed conscious and has a collaborative approach to work
- Fluent communication written and oral in English
- Has a solid knowledge of payroll and benefits – ideally international, however knowledge of UK and Europe are sufficient
- Knowledge of auditing systems and ensuring quality data is recorded and cleansed on a regular basis
