Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Comp Artist to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced graphic arts studio. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a comping/prototyping environment and possess a strong foundation in packaging design and fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build packaging materials, including boxes, bottles, and cans.
- Operate general studio tools such as automated CAD cutters, mounting and laminating equipment.
- Utilize photography and digital printing techniques to enhance presentations and prototypes.
- Exhibit strong arts and crafts skills for precise cutting, application, and fabrication of custom packaging designs.
- Collaborate with a team of experts, learning and adapting to new techniques and tools as needed.
Qualifications:
-Experience in a comping or prototyping studio environment.
-Experience in transfer application and label application
-Experience in shrink-wrapping and carton/box construction
- General knowledge of packaging design principles and materials.
- Familiarity with studio tools and equipment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and experience with Mimaki CAD cutting equipment/software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship in all aspects of work.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and work effectively under pressure
