Mending Point Community Services Counseling Services is a branch of the United Methodist Home. Community Services Counseling Services provides out-patient and school-based therapy along with Targeted Case Management.  Our office is located in Owensboro KY.  We have been delivering services for over for 155 Years. The Community Support Associate (CSA) provides Comprehensive Community Support Services (CCSS).  This role combines direct service delivery with staff supervision, quality oversight, and program support to ensure high-quality, compliant, person-centered services.  
  • Support the mission, vision, and values of Kentucky United Methodist Homes for Children and Youth.
  • Comply with all organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and promote a culturally responsive team environment.
  • Participate in required training and professional development activities.
  • Maintain an active caseload of CCSS clients and provide person-centered, strengths-based services.
  • Conduct functional and needs-based assessments and update service plans every 90 days.
  • Provide skill-building interventions in home and community settings.
  • Ensure timely, accurate documentation consistent with Medicaid and agency standards.
  • Facilitate team meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Complete all required CSA and CCSS trainings.
  • Support onboarding and ongoing professional development of staff.
Educational and Professional Requirements
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One year of experience working with individuals with mental health or co-occurring disorders.
  • Completion of required CSA training within six months of hire.
  • Must complete CSA training/certification requirements within required timelines as directed by the agency and consistent with Kentucky regulation (e.g., 908 KAR 2:250) and payer expectations.
  • Must participate in required ongoing/annual training and continuing education as assigned.
Job Specifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of current auto insurance.
  • Valid certification in CPR and First Aid (can be provided upon hire).
  • Must submit to required background checks and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal engagement skills and ability to work effectively in community settings.
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to learn and use EMR systems; computer proficiency required.
  • Ability to support the agency’s mission and philosophy and demonstrate respect for cultural diversity and team-centric harmony.
  • Must work under clinical supervision of an approved behavioral health professional/supervisor per agency policy and applicable regulations, including required supervision frequency.
