What’s on offer?

We are looking to build on our existing team with a proactive and people-focused Community & Stakeholder Coordinator to work on key water infrastructure projects for Fulton Hogan Utilities. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, coordinating projects, and helping deliver clear, timely, and effective communication with communities and stakeholders.

In this role, you will support the planning and delivery of community and stakeholder engagement activities across a range of projects and initiatives. You will work closely with project teams, communications specialists, contractors, councils, community representatives, and other key stakeholders to help ensure engagement is coordinated, responsive, and aligned with program goals.

In this role you'll be responsible for:

  • Support the planning and delivery of stakeholder and community engagement activities across the program

  • Assist with preparing engagement plans, schedules, contact lists, stakeholder databases, and reporting

  • Draft correspondence, presentations, meeting notes, community updates, and other engagement materials

  • Use stakeholder systems and reporting tools to maintain accurate records, track issues and actions, and support coordinated communication activities across the program

  • Respond to stakeholder and community enquiries in a timely, professional, and helpful manner

  • Work with project teams to ensure engagement activities are well coordinated and delivered to agreed timeframes

  • Contribute to improved ways of working by identifying practical opportunities to streamline communication, coordination, and reporting processes.

How you'll connect to the role:

  • Relevant qualification in communications, public relations, community engagement, administration, or a related field is desirable

  • Experience in infrastructure, utilities, water, local government, or community-facing environments would be an advantage

  • Previous experience in a coordination, communications, stakeholder engagement, customer, community, or project support role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence using digital platforms, stakeholder systems, and reporting tools to support engagement delivery and administration

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with a wide range of people with strong organisational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines

  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to work with the ability to identify practical process improvements that strengthen coordination, communication and reporting
