Rolling Plains Management Corporation (RPMC) is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Community Services Assistant for a temporary 6‑month assignment in our Crowell office. This position supports the delivery of Community Services programs by assisting clients, processing documentation, maintaining records, and providing excellent customer service.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and can balance multiple responsibilities with accuracy and professionalism.
Position Summary:This position entails mainly tasks that are technical and diverse in nature and require the capacity of judgment, action, and ability to work with others to accomplish program goals and integration of program activities.
The Intake Clerk supports all telephone communication throughout Rolling Plains by answering and routing all incoming calls. A positive first impression and excellent customer service is provided. Messages and necessary information are communicated to all staff throughout the program. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
This temporary position is not benefit‑eligible and does not accrue leave.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist clients with accessing CSBG, CEAP, LIHWAP, and Weatherization programs.

Gather, review, and enter client documents into the automated system.

Provide information on RPMC programs, community resources, and eligibility requirements.

Maintain accurate client files and documentation according to policy.

Answer phones, greet visitors, and support general office operations.

Coordinate with utility vendors and other partners on behalf of clients.

Prepare vouchers, reports, and correspondence as needed.

Maintain confidentiality and deliver excellent customer service.

Support staff with filing, copying, scheduling, and other administrative tasks.

Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:-
High School Diploma or GED required.

One year of clerical, receptionist, customer service, or social service experience preferred.

Experience with multi‑line phone systems required.

Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic office equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of public, employees and management, both orally and in writing using correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
- Ability to balance a variety of duties, prioritized and meet deadlines required.

Ability to lift up to 25lbs and perform standard office physical tasks.

Must pass criminal history checks and drug/alcohol testing.

Must possess reliable transportation and a valid Texas driver’s license.
- Ability to maintain physical condition and stamina appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include sitting, standing, walking, or riding in vehicle for extended periods of time, or other duties assigned.
- Employee regularly required to bend and squat in the process of locating and maintaining client files.
- Employee must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 25 lbs.
- The physical requirements in an office environment may require lifting boxes of supplies or files, equipment, and occasional adjustment of office furniture.
- Possess ability to adapt to inclement weather conditions and/or situations.
- Ability to drive, occasionally long distances within the region.
