Chateau at Bothell Landing, Bothell, WA

Job Type: Full-time
Location: Bothell, WA
Salary: $95,000–$110,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications, plus monthly commissions

Build relationships. Inspire confidence. Help seniors find home.

At Chateau at Bothell Landing, choosing a senior living community is about more than finding an apartment, it’s about finding connection, support, and a place to call home. We are seeking an experienced Community Relations Director who combines a passion for serving older adults with strong sales skills, relationship building, and thoughtful follow-through.

As a member of the community leadership team, you will partner closely with the Executive Director and sales and marketing leadership to grow occupancy, strengthen referral relationships, and guide prospective residents and their families through the decision-making process. This is a hands-on opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys connecting with people and turning those connections into meaningful results.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the sales process. Guide prospective residents and families from initial inquiry through tours, follow-up, lease completion, and move-in coordination.

  • Build trust with families. Understand each prospect’s needs, preferences, and financial considerations, helping them explore appropriate living options through a personalized, consultative approach.

  • Deliver engaging tours. Showcase our apartments, services, programs, and community lifestyle while clearly explaining pricing and next steps.

  • Grow occupancy. Develop and carry out sales and marketing plans that support occupancy, revenue, and referral goals.

  • Strengthen referral relationships. Build connections with healthcare providers, hospitals, senior-service organizations, and other community partners through consistent outreach.

  • Coordinate successful move-ins. Partner with department leaders to organize assessments, documentation, apartment readiness, and a welcoming transition.

  • Manage leads and follow-through. Maintain accurate, timely records of prospect interactions, referral activity, and next steps in the customer relationship management system.

  • Bring our brand to life. Coordinate approved marketing campaigns, promotional materials, networking opportunities, and events that introduce families and referral partners to Chateau.

  • Use data to drive results. Monitor lead sources, conversion rates, occupancy trends, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and adjust strategies.

  • Support the team. Coach assigned community relations and marketing staff, manage approved marketing expenses, and collaborate with community leaders to deliver an exceptional first impression.

What We’re Looking For
  • At least two years of successful sales, marketing, or community relations experience in senior living, assisted living, long-term care, healthcare, or a related service environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to build referral relationships, manage a sales pipeline, and follow through consistently.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism.

  • A consultative sales approach that respects each prospective resident’s needs and choices.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with office software and customer relationship management systems.

  • Experience increasing and sustaining occupancy or census preferred.

  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of aging services and the needs of older adults and their families preferred.

  • Ability to meet background screening requirements and obtain or maintain required CPR/First Aid certification and a food handler permit.

  • Flexibility for local outreach, tours, move-ins, and events, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Annual salary of $95,000–$110,000, depending on experience and qualifications, plus monthly commissions.

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.

  • 401(k)/Roth IRA with company match.

  • Paid holidays, vacation, and sick time.

  • Company-paid life insurance for full-time employees.

  • Wellness programs and employee perks.

  • Discounted meals while on shift.
