Community Outreach and Engagement Manager  - Clinical Trials

  • Location: Australia wide (Sydney or Brisbane ideal)

About the job 

Responsible for developing and maintaining reliable local community relationships across designated therapeutic areas. They are focused on implementing on-site, community-oriented projects, engaging in patient education activities, reducing patient access barriers, and identifying best practices that can be leveraged across the industry to help achieve health equity.

This diverse and exciting role will advance health equity, support diverse and socially underserved populations with internal and external partners. Through collection and reported data, the Community Outreach and Engagement Manager will successfully engage in recruitment and retention activities in partnership with Sanofi-sponsored clinical trial sites.

Main responsibilities: 

  • Region-specific community awareness, outreach, and engagement strategy. 
  • Community engagement implementation, event planning and hosting. 
  • Build and maintain robust relationships with new and existing sites and investigators.   
  • Vendor and Patient Advocacy Group coordination. 
  • Responsible for determining the appropriate communities to engage for outreach and frequency, including identification of site diversity champions, local KOLs or trusted messengers.   
  • Responsible for designing how the role will coordinate with internal Sanofi stakeholders, based on the structure and ways of working specific to the region.  
  • Work closely with Sanofi stakeholders to support sites in the identification of potential study participants through boots-on-the-ground and in-office recruitment. 
  • Act as the local liaison and subject matter expert for clinical trial optimization based on community feedback. 

 

About you 
 

  • Bachelors degree or similar in life sciences or medical etc; with additional degree in related field eg; business. 
  • Strong experience in community outreach and public relations, preferably in a healthcare setting.  
  • Medical/Scientific Background, ideally with experience in Specialty, Rare Disease or Blood Disorders.  
  • Advanced Project Management skills.  
  • Knowledge of and experience with implementing Change Management.  
  • Clinical Development Process skills.  
  • Ability to evaluate, manage and define risk management.  
  • Basic Data Analytics & Digital acumen.
