Community Marketing Manager

Ripple Fiber | Marketing | Exempt – Full Time

We are looking for a Community Marketing Manager to join our growing team.

About Ripple Fiber

Ripple Fiber’s mission is to provide access to the best internet for life while bridging the digital divide through advanced fiber optic technology. By delivering faster, more stable connectivity — giving each user dedicated bandwidth rather than shared capacity — we are improving lives from an education, entertainment, and employment perspective.

We are on track to bring high-speed fiber access to over 3 million homes across multiple states over the next seven years, and we are building the team to make that happen.

Our Culture

Ripple Fiber is a dynamic, fast-growing company built on ambition, innovation, and an entrepreneurial spirit. We are people-centric and invest heavily in employee experience, career growth, and professional development.

About the Role

The Community Marketing Manager serves as the face and voice of Ripple Fiber in the local markets we serve. This role sits at the intersection of marketing and community engagement, requiring independent judgment and discretion to develop market-specific strategies, cultivate high-value partnerships, and shape how residents, businesses, and civic organizations perceive and engage with the Ripple Fiber brand. This role is also eligible to earn commission based on upsells to current Ripple Fiber customers.

Key Responsibilities

Local Market Strategy & Planning

  • Exercise independent judgment to assess local market conditions and identify the most effective outreach opportunities, community touchpoints, and activation strategies for each assigned market.
  • Develop and manage weekly and monthly activation calendars that balance planned events, opportunistic engagements, and relationship-building activities aligned to brand goals.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing Activation to design and execute local market strategy, recommending adjustments based on field intelligence and evolving market dynamics.
  • Manage local activation budgets with accountability for maximizing impact per dollar spent.

Community Engagement & Partnership Development

  • Build and sustain relationships with chambers of commerce, HOAs, civic organizations, local businesses, schools, youth groups, nonprofits, and community leaders to establish Ripple Fiber as a trusted, recognized community presence.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue sponsorship opportunities, community programs, and partnership arrangements that advance brand awareness and goodwill.
  • Represent Ripple Fiber at community events, town gatherings, festivals, HOA meetings, chamber events, and civic forums — speaking on behalf of the brand with clarity, accuracy, and professionalism.
  • Exercise judgment in determining which events, partnerships, and engagements represent the best use of time and resources in the market.

Brand Representation & Storytelling

  • Serve as the authoritative local voice for Ripple Fiber, clearly communicating the brand’s value proposition, product offerings, pricing, promotions, and build timelines to a variety of audiences.
  • Stay current on construction schedules, service availability, and product updates to ensure accurate, confident communication in the field.
  • Uphold brand standards across all in-person interactions, materials, and event presentations.
  • Channel community sentiment, questions, and feedback back to the Marketing and Government Affairs teams to inform strategy and messaging.

Event Execution & Field Activation

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute local events and brand activations, including booth setup, display management, collateral distribution, and lead capture.
  • Manage logistics for field events independently, including vendor coordination, inventory management, and on-site troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Construction teams to identify optimal timing and locations for brand activations that align with build progress and sales pipeline priorities.

Reporting & Communication

  • Provide regular performance summaries and activation recaps to the Director of Marketing Activation, including qualitative market insights, quantitative results, photo and video documentation.
  • Proactively communicate needs for print materials, branded assets, apparel, tools, and inventory to ensure field readiness.
  • Contribute to internal reporting and leadership presentations that reflect local market progress and impact.

Qualifications

Required

  • Demonstrated experience in community engagement, field marketing, event coordination, or a closely related discipline.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse community stakeholders, including business leaders, civic officials, and nonprofit partners.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills; comfortable addressing groups of varying sizes in both formal and informal settings.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and adapt strategy in real time based on market conditions and community feedback.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to lift 35–50 lbs. and manage physical setup and teardown of event materials.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays as event schedules require.

Preferred

  • Background in brand ambassador work, consumer promotions, or sales support.
  • Experience with chamber of commerce, nonprofit, or civic organization involvement.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications, fiber optic technology, or the internet services industry.
  • Established relationships in the local market or surrounding communities.

Compensation & Benefits

Ripple Fiber offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k), as well as a range of perks and meaningful opportunities for career growth. This role is also eligible to earn commission based on upsells to current Ripple Fiber customers.
