What You’ll Do

As Community Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, financial performance, and resident experience at the property while leading a small team and ensuring the community operates efficiently and professionally.

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop property staff to deliver outstanding service

  • Hire, train, mentor, and conduct performance reviews

  • Foster open communication and a positive team environment

Property Operations
  • Manage daily property operations to maximize occupancy and revenue

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable housing laws

  • Conduct regular property inspections to maintain high standards of appearance and safety

Financial Management
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and track performance against budget

  • Oversee rent collections, deposits, and financial reporting

  • Manage month-end close processes and maintain accurate records

Leasing & Marketing
  • Analyze local market trends and competitive data

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to maintain strong occupancy

  • Ensure vacant units are market-ready and leasing efforts remain proactive

Resident Experience
  • Build a strong sense of community and resident satisfaction

  • Address resident concerns professionally and efficiently

  • Develop resident retention programs and community events

Vendor & Asset Management
  • Negotiate and manage vendor contracts

  • Oversee contractors and ensure quality service delivery

  • Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment

Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures

  • Maintain property disaster preparedness plans

  • Participate in company initiatives, task forces, and special projects

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who combines operational discipline with exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience managing or supervising a multifamily residential property

  • Strong leadership and team development skills

  • Knowledge of property financials, leasing, and marketing strategies

  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Professional in-person and phone presence

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Technical Skills

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Experience with Yardi or other property management software preferred

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Bonus Points

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
