As Community Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, financial performance, and resident experience at the property while leading a small team and ensuring the community operates efficiently and professionally.
Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop property staff to deliver outstanding service
Hire, train, mentor, and conduct performance reviews
Foster open communication and a positive team environment
Manage daily property operations to maximize occupancy and revenue
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable housing laws
Conduct regular property inspections to maintain high standards of appearance and safety
Assist with annual budget preparation and track performance against budget
Oversee rent collections, deposits, and financial reporting
Manage month-end close processes and maintain accurate records
Analyze local market trends and competitive data
Develop and execute marketing strategies to maintain strong occupancy
Ensure vacant units are market-ready and leasing efforts remain proactive
Build a strong sense of community and resident satisfaction
Address resident concerns professionally and efficiently
Develop resident retention programs and community events
Negotiate and manage vendor contracts
Oversee contractors and ensure quality service delivery
Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures
Maintain property disaster preparedness plans
Participate in company initiatives, task forces, and special projects
We’re seeking someone who combines operational discipline with exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
1+ years of experience managing or supervising a multifamily residential property
Strong leadership and team development skills
Knowledge of property financials, leasing, and marketing strategies
Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Professional in-person and phone presence
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Technical Skills
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with Yardi or other property management software preferred
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required
