Position: Community Lending Coordinator

Job Summary:
Currently seeking talented, innovative and mission driven Community Lending Coordinator to help develop our Queens and East NY territory.
Job Specific Responsibilities and Duties:
- To act, promote and be involved in the loan processing for all types of loans that the Bank offers included Grants and other types Government Loans.
- To prepare and submit loan files for processing, final approval to the Underwriting department.
- To ensure the loans approved are submitted properly into the closing department and continue to meet the guidelines of the specific programs that the client was approved for.
- To develop relationships with community agencies that will provide additional support and look out for different opportunities where the products and services can be promoted to better service the community.
- To cultivate and develop new partnerships within the community through several local organizations and attend networking events.
- Develop and maintain good quality networking with established business relationships that serves as a recurring source of referrals and promotion of our financial education platform
Basic Responsibilities:
- Participate in several types of community events, including evenings and occasional weekends, presenting Emigrant’s lending products, financial education and promote on behalf of the Bank, information about our current and projected nonprofit organizations and approved government grants. These types of presentation will be either in person or virtual.
- To be able to travel to different locations to either to be trained or to present on behalf of the Bank.
- The Coordinator needs to work under deadlines. Therefore, he/she does not have any fixed duty hours, and his/her work hours may vary according to the requirements of the work situation.
Qualifications:
- Experience with mortgage loan software programs and several years of relevant work experience in the mortgage industry as a loan officer.
- Experience with secondary markets (FNMA and Freddie Mac) and with regulatory requirements (RSPA, TILA and CFPB) is require.
- Advanced knowledge of real estate lending, documentation, policies and procedures.
- Mortgage Origination experience desired, but not required.
- Loans, outreach, & seminars with community groups.
- Looking for candidates with some Sales and/or outreach experience.
Job Specific Requirements:
- Good coordination and organization skills.
- Possess good counseling skills to be able to guide the clients and participants and provide with the best information of the relevant products and services.
- Detail oriented and excellent communication skills.
- To be able to gather, analyze various documents and should be totally customer oriented.
- Able to multitask and work independently.

New York pay range
$75,000—$85,000 USD
