Position Summary:

In the Community Involvement Intern position, you’ll help bring Direct Supply’s community engagement programs to life through hands-on experience in corporate social responsibility (CSR), event coordination, and partner communication. You’ll support the planning, logistics, and promotion of volunteer initiatives and charitable efforts that make a meaningful impact on our Partners and the broader community.

What You’ll Do and Impact:
Coordinate logistics for donation efforts, including organizing item donations from our campus to local and national nonprofit partners.
Assist with planning and executing community events — including setup, teardown, and on-site support during occasional evenings or weekends.
Manage supplies, vendor communication, and stakeholder collaboration for event logistics.
Draft and distribute internal communications to promote volunteer opportunities and charitable campaigns.
Serve as a point of contact for incoming inquiries from both Direct Supply Partners and external organizations.
Research CSR topics such as community engagement, senior care resources, and sustainability initiatives.
Support charitable contribution and sponsorship planning and tracking.
Upload, manage, and promote volunteer opportunities through our internal engagement platform.
Collaborate with the Community Involvement and Marketing teams to keep content fresh across internal platforms, the DS website, and social media.
Maintain shared calendars, process documentation, inventory of supplies, and branded event materials.
Track and report volunteer hours, manage post-event surveys, and summarize insights to improve future initiatives.
Experience:
Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, Business, or a related field
Ability to work 15–25 hours/week during the school year and 30–40 hours/week in the summer
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Workspace
Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Valid, unexpired driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
Additional Items of Interest:
Interest in corporate social responsibility, nonprofit engagement, or community relations
Familiarity with Google Analytics, basic HTML, or web content platforms is a plus
