The role:

As Community Experience Manager in Barcelona, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining the artifacts of TravelPerk’s culture. From our biweekly All Hands meetings where we come together to celebrate our impact, to onboarding experiences that excite and equip new joiners for success, to office spaces that foster collaboration and connection. You will work alongside the global Community Experience Team and stakeholders across the business to ensure the touchpoints related to employee experience attract, engage, and retain exceptional talent.

What does the role entail?

  • Maintaining and scaling TravelPerk’s culture and mission:
    • Review and streamline processes to ensure our culture-building efforts scale effectively and add value.
    • Lead the cultural integration of existing and potential future company acquisitions, ensuring alignment with TravelPerk’s values.
    • Co-create our Community approach, empowering employees to shape their own experiences.
    • Manage operations to uphold a regular cadence of impactful, culture-based initiatives.
  • Leading the Community Experience, Barcelona Team
    • Hire, lead, and develop a high-performing Community Experience Team.
    • Drive team engagement and ensure a high standard of delivery aligned with KPIs and expectations.
    • Oversee initiatives related to employee engagement, onboarding, and ambassador programs.
    • Partner with the Get Together Team to execute company events and experiences.
    • Collaborate with the Barcelona Workplace Team to enhance the in-office experience.
    • Support the Internal Communications team with launches and messages related to community news.
  • Fostering in-person connection through our IRL strategy
    • Create moments of learning, collaboration, and connection through in-person experiences.
  • Maintaining a  pulse on the global employee experience
    • Build trusted relationships with employees to understand and enhance their experience, both at HQ and across our global hubs.
  • Representing TravelPerk externally
    • Showcase our culture through employer branding initiatives that attract exceptional talent.

What will you do?

  • Achieve SMART goals for maintaining and scaling TravelPerk’s culture.
  • Drive participation in initiatives that capture employee sentiment and improve engagement.
  • Lead the cultural integration of company acquisitions, creating scalable playbooks.
  • Oversee onboarding and cultural induction programs to set new joiners up for success.
  • Champion Belonging Community initiatives and lead our Belonging Philosophy.
  • Coordinate with Hub Ambassadors to ensure a balanced and locally relevant cultural experience.
  • Collaborate with the Internal Communications team to drive communication and engagement programs.
  • Support the creation of content that promotes TravelPerk’s culture internally and externally.
  • Partner with the Get Together Team to ensure events reflect our employees’ voices.

What we’re looking for

This role will be perfect for you if you’re someone who matches the following:

Experience and skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience in community building, cultural integration, or organizational development roles.
  • Proven experience managing and developing teams in dynamic environments.
  • Expertise in cultural integration, particularly during mergers or acquisitions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and balance multiple initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas compellingly, both visually (slides) and verbally, to diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and influence without direct authority.
  • Framework thinker who can solve problems systematically and independently.

We take an IRL - first approach to work, where our team works together in-person 3 days a week. As such, this role requires you to be based within commuting distance of our Barcelona hub (office locations).
