At Mission Australia Housing, we believe that housing is just the beginning. In this role, you will play a key role in shaping thriving communities across your region.

This leadership role, you won’t just manage programs—you’ll drive community transformation. You will design and deliver regional community development plans that reflect local needs and aspirations. From supporting tenant committees to launching community-led initiatives, your work will create real opportunities for connection, growth and independence. Working as part of our team, you’ll partner closely with Housing Services and Asset Management to deliver an integrated, people-first approach that improves lives.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Design and deliver regional community development plans
  • Support tenant committees to launch community-led initiatives
  • Use data, insights and feedback to evaluate outcomes, and demonstrate the value of community development
  • Encourage tenant participation, strengthen relationships and connect people with services they need to thrive
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders including Local and State Governments, support partners and the broader community
  • Develop and implement local area plans that align to national business plans and drive local service delivery
  • Work with key MA and Housing stakeholders to develop positive relationships and deliver shared outcomes for clients and communities we serve
  • Ensure Mission Australia Housing meets all external and internal compliance requirements for housing services

Requirements for Success

  • Tertiary qualification in relevant field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in community development, housing or community services
  • Experience in community engagement, facilitation and conflict resolution
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to turn ideas into impactful programs
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with high-level customer service focus
  • Demonstrated experience working and collaborating effectively with key stakeholders

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
