Who You Are

As our Communications Specialist you play a key role within the FANUC America’s Communications team, supporting the development and execution of external communications initiatives that advance our company business goals. Reporting to the Public Relations and Communications Manager, you will be creating compelling content, particularly case studies and storytelling assets that communicate FANUC’s technology, customer impact and innovation. This role is expected to evolve over time as the Communications team grows and initiatives expand. There will also be a need to travel to trade shows and other events. Interested?  Apply today! 

How It’s Done

Content Creation and Management

  • Develop engaging multi-media content, including bylined articles, case studies, press releases, product descriptions and stories for our external website and corporate newsletter to support campaign strategies, tradeshows and other corporate initiatives. This includes using strong storytelling techniques to highlight automation success stories, customer impact and product innovation.
  • Conduct thorough research on automation industry trends and challenges and FANUC product technologies to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Translate technical concepts into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences while demonstrating strong technological curiosity and the ability to decipher complex information from subject matter experts.
  • Develop a working understanding of FANUC products to accurately communicate key features, benefits and differentiators
  • Plan, manage and track editorial content calendars for the corporate newsletter and digital channels ensuring deadlines, approvals and deliverables are clearly met and documented
  • Apply SEO practices to enhance content visibility and drive organic traffic

Strategic Communication

  • Identify thought-leadership opportunities for subject matter experts that align with business objectives, ensuring messaging resonates with our target audiences
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and standardize the brand voice external comms
  • Support communications workflows and communication policies that align with the company’s values and goals
  • Support media relations, including preparing background information and messaging
  • Monitor and track and report on media coverage, including maintaining coverage logs, tracking placement status and summarizing results to inform communications strategy and guide future content priorities

Modern Communication Strategies

  • Leverage artificial intelligence tools to enhance communication processes
  • Review and explore AI trends and innovative ways to incorporate AI into our communication efforts
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize content performance and audience engagement

What You Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in communications
  • Familiarity with AI technologies and their applications in marketing and communications
  • Portfolio of writing samples
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license

What Would Be Even Better

  • Experience in automation, robotics, manufacturing, or industrial technology communications
  • Familiarity with graphic and content creation tools (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
  • Experience applying SEO concepts and analytics insights to content strategy
