Who we are

Healthcare needs a better rhythm: one that keeps care continuous and deeply human. Heidi is building an AI Care Partner that works alongside clinicians to make that possible.

We’re a team of doctors, engineers, designers, researchers, and creatives building tools that help clinicians stay focused on what matters most: their patients.

In just 18 months, Heidi has given back more than 18 million hours to healthcare professionals — supporting 73 million patient visits in 116 countries. Today, more than two million patient visits each week are powered by Heidi worldwide.

Backed by nearly $100 million in funding, we’re growing in the US, UK, Canada, and Europe, partnering with leading health systems including the NHS, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and Monash Health.

We operate in a high-trust, high-stakes space. Our communications must be credible, precise, and useful - not loud for the sake of it. Every word we put into the world shapes how clinicians, partners, regulators, and the public understand AI in healthcare.

The Role

We’re looking for a Communications Specialist with a few years of experience under their belt — ideally someone making their first move in-house after cutting their teeth at a PR agency or tech company. This is a hands-on role for someone who’s hungry, highly organised, and excited to take ownership, move fast, and prove themselves at every opportunity.

You’ll work closely with the Global Head of Communications to shape how Heidi shows up in the world — not just through great storytelling, but through sharp execution, strong processes, and calm control of multiple moving parts. This is a brilliant role for someone who thrives on momentum, loves getting stuck in, and wants real responsibility early on.

This is a chance to step into an in-house role where your work will be seen, valued and trusted. You’ll get real ownership, close exposure to decision-makers, and the space to grow quickly if you bring the drive, organisation and follow-through we’re looking for.

What you’ll do
  • Strategy & Content Development: Support the development and execution of external communications strategies for global audiences.

  • End-to-End Communications Execution: Drive execution, project management and operational momentum across priority communications initiatives, ensuring timelines are met.

  • Operational Excellence: Translate high-level objectives into clear plans, timelines and next steps.

  • Comms Operations & Infrastructure: Build and maintain lightweight, scalable communications operations - calendars, trackers, timelines, owners, media lists, coverage reports and shared assets - keeping everything meticulous and up to date.

  • Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management: Coordinate closely with design, product, clinical, marketing, legal and leadership teams to unblock progress and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across markets.

  • Narrative Translation: Translate complex ideas, including technical, clinical or financial concepts, into clear, compelling narratives that work across channels and audiences.

  • AI-Enabled Workflows: Use AI tooling to streamline workflows, analyze media sentiment, surface insights and improve speed, consistency and quality across communications outputs.

  • Content Creation & Polish: Draft, edit and refine press releases, announcements, thought leadership, blog posts and other external content to a consistently high standard.

  • Insights & Opportunity Spotting: Monitor media, competitors and industry trends, sharing insights with the wider team and proactively identifying opportunities to tell Heidi’s story - then running them from idea to execution.

  • Knowledge & Enablement: Directly support the scaling of knowledge management and communications enablement as the company grows.

What we’re looking for
  • 2–4 years’ experience in communications or PR, ideally in a fast-paced agency, startup, or tech environment

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a sharp eye for clarity, tone, and detail

  • Exceptionally organised, comfortable managing multiple workstreams without dropping the ball

  • Confident juggling competing priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders, while keeping momentum high

  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, taking feedback in stride and turning it into better output

  • A self-starter mindset — proactive, curious, and motivated to continuously improve how work gets done

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-shifting priorities, with a bias toward action and problem-solving

AI & technical fluency
  • Fluent and confident applying AI to your own workflows — using AI tools thoughtfully to research, draft, analyse, and improve communications output

  • Knows how to automate the work we shouldn’t be doing, freeing up time for higher-value thinking

  • Technically curious, with experience or strong interest in working with technical topics and AI tools

  • Data-driven, using insights and performance data to improve communication impact and efficiency

Collaboration & ways of working
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator, able to work effectively across teams and with external partners

  • Proactive and independent, you don’t wait to be told what to do and take ownership end-to-end

The way we work

1. Build to Last

We design for safety and reliability so clinicians, patients, and our teams can trust what we build every day.

2. Own Your Practice

Ideas rise on merit, not title, and everyone shares responsibility for the standards we set together.

3. Move Fast, Stay Steady

We move quickly but never at the cost of trust. Progress only matters if people can depend on what we make.

4. Make Others Better

Honest feedback, steady support, and shared growth keep our teams improving together.

Why you will flourish with us

  • Flexible hybrid working environment, with 3 days in the office.

  • A generous personal development budget of $500 per annum

  • Learn from some of the best engineers and creatives, joining a diverse team

  • Become an owner, with shares (equity) in the company, if Heidi wins, we all win

  • The rare chance to create a global impact as you immerse yourself in one of Australia’s leading healthtech startups

  • If you have an impact quickly, the opportunity to fast track your startup career!

Heidi is dedicated to creating an equitable, inclusive, and supportive work environment that brings people together from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Our strength is in our differences. We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer and welcome all applicants as we're committed to promoting a culture of opportunity for all.
