When you join the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), you help advance work that supports family physicians and improves health care delivery. The Communications Specialist supports communications initiatives by developing and implementing communication plans, collaborating with program managers and strategists on larger integrated campaigns, supporting public relations initiatives, and evaluating campaign performance. The successful candidate is organized, manages multiple projects at once while delivering high-quality content and results that make a difference for patients and family physicians.

Required Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree and 1-2 years of experience developing and implementing integrated communication campaigns.

·        Strong writing and editing skills.

·        Data literacy and comfort with marketing analytics.

·        Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Preferred Qualifications

·        Curiosity and learning agility, adaptability and initiative

·        Strong organization and time management skills

·        Experience working in health care, health communications, public health, membership associations, nonprofit organization or mission-driven organizations.
