About the Position
In this position, you have a unique chance to make a difference in further developing Sanoma’s financial, sustainability and other external communication. We offer you an opportunity to learn more about the learning and media businesses and to gain extensive experience in communications of a large, listed company, supported by a team of skilled and engaged colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Owner of Sanoma.com, running and developing the platform (Optimizely), incl. content and usability maintenance and development, content ownership of the Group pages, as well as participating in development and updating of the Sustainability and IR sections
- Owner of the Group’s Social Media strategy and channels, incl. strategy development, content planning and creation, coordination with SBUs, publishing posts
- Contributing to and publishing of the Group’s external releases and news, key user for release distribution platform
- Preparations of the Annual and Interim Reports, e.g. participating in content creation, preparing templates, coordinating the creation of visuals, choosing pictures, translating texts from English to Finnish, transforming the content online
- Implementing internal and external IR and sustainability communications, e.g. updating relevant intranet pages, writing to newsletters, writing sustainability news
- Maintaining and developing image library for external communications and developing document templates (PPT, Word)
- Active role in organising of IR events as part of the team
- Coordination and cooperation with different service providers
- Active networking and coordination with internal and external stakeholders
About You
We are looking for a digitally savvy communicator, especially skilled in website and social media development, who will show great commitment and enthusiasm to further enhance Sanoma’s external communications across channels.
You have a hands-on way of working, driving and moving things forward independently, using both your general judgement and previous communications experience to make the right prioritisations. You have attention to detail, a business-minded approach and a strong developmental mindset, along with the ability to adopt to changing situations. You have strong interpersonal skills and an ability to network and build relationships that help you navigate a complex organisation.
Formal Requirements
- Academic degree in business/economics, law, communications or similar
- Relevant work experience in corporate communications or communications consulting, in a listed company setting
- Excellent communication skills, in English AND Finnish (both verbally and in writing)
- Knowledge in using website platforms (experience in using ‘Optimizely’ as an administrator is considered an advantage)
