Summary
Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Communications and Public Relations Specialist is responsible for promoting NHA’s identity and mission to clients, residents, the public, and employees through the creation and distribution of press releases, update of website and other documents. S/he is responsible for handling all aspects of planned publicity campaigns and PR activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Oversees and produces, from concept to completion, a broad array of digital and/or print promotional and communication materials for the organization.
- Ensures that all materials present a clear, unified, and positive image for the organization and/or brand.
- Plans, prepares, and distributes original promotional content such as articles, news and press releases, email, blog and social media posts, and other updates on behalf of the organization.
- Promotes and attends special events and functions; promotes and reports on corporate milestones and activities such as company goals and projects; new products or services; community service activities; and new hires, promotions, and retirements.
- Arranges for photography and/or press coverage for special events.
- Plans publicity strategies and campaigns
- Manages enquiries from the public, the press, and other related organizations
- Updates NHA and NHASF website and social media
- Create presentations, reports, articles, leaflets, journals, newsletters, and brochures for both external and internal distribution
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
A bachelor’s degree in English, Media Studies, Marketing, or other related fields preferred; At least three (3) years’ experience in marketing, publications, or related field.

Skills Required
