About the Role

The Research and Policy manager will lead the organization’s efforts in policy development, research, and advocacy to promote gender equity and end sexual harassment in tertiary institutions. This role will involve policy design and implementation, high-level research, stakeholder engagement, and internal capacity building.

Job Description

  • Develop and produce multimedia content (photos, videos, graphics, animations) for social media, websites, campaigns, reports, and events.

  • Capture field footage and conduct interviews with beneficiaries, staff, and stakeholders.

  • Edit video and photo materials to professional standards with a strong narrative focus.

  • Support digital campaigns by creating engaging and relevant multimedia assets.

  • Contribute to visual storytelling that aligns with advocacy, fundraising, and awareness goals.

  • Work closely with program teams to understand and translate field activities into compelling visuals.

  • Train field staff on basic multimedia capture (photography and video).

  • Maintain an organized digital asset library, ensuring proper metadata tagging and usage rights.

  • Ensure consent and copyright compliance for all materials.

  • Perform other related tasks.




Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Journalism, Digital Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.

  • At least 3 years of experience in communications, content creation, multimedia production, or digital marketing—preferably within NGOs, media organizations, or social impact environments.

  • Strong ability to create, edit, and package multimedia content, including videos, graphics, photography, and social media assets, tailored for diverse audiences.

  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to develop clear, compelling content for websites, reports, newsletters, and campaigns.

  • Strong understanding of branding, visual identity, audience engagement, and how to communicate sensitive or social-issue content with professionalism.

  • A creative, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset, with a passion for using digital storytelling to drive advocacy, visibility, and social impact.

  • Proficiency in multimedia and digital tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, and basic experience with DSLR cameras, audio recording, and video editing software is expected.

  • Experience with social media management tools like Hoot-suite, Buffer, Meta Business Suite, and basic analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Insights) is an added advantage.
