About the Role
We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and proactive Communications Officer to join our team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is passionate about communications, content creation, branding, and digital engagement.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the firm's internal and external communications, managing digital platforms, creating engaging content, and promoting the firm's brand across various communication channels.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, write, edit, and publish engaging content for the firm's website, social media platforms, newsletters, and other communication channels.
• Manage the firm's social media accounts and ensure consistent, high-quality content.
• Develop and maintain a content calendar.
• Draft press releases, articles, announcements, speeches, and other corporate communications.
• Support the planning and execution of marketing and communication campaigns.
• Coordinate with graphic designers, photographers, videographers, and other creative vendors to produce communication materials.
• Monitor social media engagement and respond to enquiries where appropriate.
• Assist in organising corporate events, webinars, conferences, and networking activities.
• Capture and document firm activities through photos, videos, and event highlights where required.
•Monitor communication trends and recommend innovative ideas to improve the firm's visibility and brand awareness.
• Ensure all communication materials are consistent with the firm's brand identity and standards.
• Support business development initiatives through effective communication and promotional activities.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, English, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or a related discipline.
• 0–2 years' relevant work experience, including NYSC, internships, freelance, or volunteer experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong editing, proofreading, and storytelling skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience using Canva or other design tools is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with social media management tools is an added advantage.
• Basic photography, videography, or video editing skills are an added advantage.
