Land O'Lakes is looking for talented, driven communications candidates for our summer internship program. As an intern, you will be assigned specific responsibilities and become a key member of the Communications team, working on projects and assignments that support real business needs. This internship is designed to give you real-world experience.
Communications interns contribute to a variety of strategic communications projects, including writing, project coordination, media relations support, and content creation across internal and external channels. You will help improve processes, tracking, and systems for the team while gaining experience with tools such as SharePoint and Muck Rack. Interns will also assist with research, planning, and execution for a variety of communications initiatives.
Required
Pursuing a four-year degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related major
Sophomore level or higher (Junior preferred)
Strong writing and project management skills
Strong writing and verbal communications skills
Experience with AP Style
Preferred
GPA of 3.0 or above
Prior internship or corporate work experience
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.)
Experience with digital and social media tools and content management systems (CMS)
Experience with digital content creation
