Job Summary

The Communications Executive – Stakeholder & Relationship Management supports the bank’s communications and brand agenda through structured relationship management with key internal and external stakeholders. The role focuses on enabling stronger collaboration, reputation-building initiatives and brand visibility opportunities, while contributing to the delivery of coherent internal and external communications aligned with the bank’s strategy.

Job Description

Core Communications Delivery

  • Support the development and delivery of internal and external communications aligned with brand, business and reputational objectives. 

  • Contribute to PR initiatives, including drafting press releases, media content and communication materials. 

  • Assist in the coordination of media engagements such as interviews, briefings and press events. 

  • Draft and edit messages for senior executives and stakeholders for both internal and external platforms. 

  • Ensure consistency of messaging across channels and alignment with Group communications guidance. 

  • Provide communications support to events, sponsorships and ESG initiatives where required. 

Stakeholder & Relationship Management Focus

  • Support and help manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders (e.g. SACC, MCCI, Business Mauritius, EDB, Mauritius Finance and similar bodies). 

  • Proactively coordinate and organise meetings with stakeholders to explore communication opportunities, partnerships and joint initiatives. 

  • Represent the Brand & Communications function in selected internal business discussions and external forums when required. 

  • Prepare briefing notes, meeting summaries and follow-up actions to ensure alignment on objectives, messaging, scope and timelines. 

  • Assist in identification of brand visibility, reputation and thought leadership opportunities. 

  • Support preparation and facilitation of workshops or brainstorming sessions. 

Skills & Competencies 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Ability to engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Good organisational and coordination skills. 

  • Sound judgement and professionalism when representing the brand. 

  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building abilities. 

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and communication tools. 

Qualifications & Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field. 

  • 3–5 years’ experience in communications, PR, stakeholder engagement or a related role. 

  • Exposure to corporate, institutional or regulated environments is an advantage. 

Education

Higher Certificates and Advanced National (Vocational) Certificates: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field
  • 3-5 years' experience in communications, PR, stakeholder engagement or related role
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and communication tools
