The Opportunity:
University Operations is seeking to hire a Communications Coordinator II. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of internal communications, digital content, and creative projects for University Operations. This role assists with writing, content development, digital publishing, and coordinating communications across multiple platforms to ensure accurate, engaging, and timely messaging.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Editorial
Write, edit, fact-check, and proofread content for newsletters, internal communications, digital platforms, and specialty publications; review drafts prior to publication.
Assist with content planning, editorial calendars, campaigns, and promotional initiatives.
Digital Platforms & Visual Media
Support social media and Microsoft Teams channels, including content creation, scheduling, moderation, and engagement.
Perform website updates and edits using WordPress; manage digital content and ensure accuracy and consistency.
Assist with graphic design and development of flyers and promotional materials using Canva or similar tools.
Capture photography and video content for internal communications as needed.
Analytics, Data & Administrative Support
Track, compile, and report basic communications analytics (e.g., open rates, engagement, clicks).
Maintain and update distribution lists, subscriber records, and contact databases.
Provide general project coordination and administrative support for communications initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting internal communications in a large or complex organization.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, including Microsoft Teams.
Experience with digital content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
Proficiency with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar platforms.
Experience with social media management, including content scheduling and engagement.
Basic photography and videography experience.
Familiarity with AP style.
Familiarity with tracking and reporting communications analytics (e.g., open rates, clicks, engagement).
Spanish fluency is a plus.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $48,722 - $65,145. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations.
Position requires a valid Class E driver’s license. This position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
