Communication Specialist

FocusKPI is looking for a Communication Specialist to join one of our clients, a high-tech, SaaS company. 
In this role, you will be responsible for generating and nurturing the stories they share with the world. You will create and maintain best practices, processes and infrastructure to help the corporate communications team to operate as efficiently as possible. You'll be part of a global communications team, working with the agency partners to engage the media on distinctive stories. From their unique culture and industry-leading teamwork practices to establishing client’s vision for human-AI collaboration, you'll help promote their corporate narrative and position around the world. You will report to their Director of Corporate Communications.
Work Location: Remote: anywhere in the US
Duration: 11 months contract
Pay Range: $35/hr to $45/hr
Responsibilities:

• Work across project teams to understand priorities and generate compelling angles for storytelling and thought leadership
• Write thought-provoking, engaging material that our audiences want to read, watch, listen to and engage with
• Build and manage social media strategy for executives, maintaining a calendar of social posts
• Support leaders with content for external appearances, including fireside chats and keynotes
• Pitch in with writing and content needs across the communications team, whether a quick-turn blog post or talking points for an interview
• Build relationships with teams across the company to source ideas
• Measure results and adjust approaches accordingly

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of communications experience with consumer or enterprise technology brands (agency experience preferred).
• Experience identifying what will interest the media and how to shape messaging for different audiences.
• Solid relationships with business and technology journalists and influencers, and a history of placing great stories.
• You are a strong writer with a love for creating messaging platforms, pitches, and executive speaking points.
• A team player that can balance high-profile projects and juggle urgent inbound requests with ease.
