The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy professional to join our team as a Communication & Operations Specialist!

In this dynamic and multi-faceted position, you will play a key role in supporting CyberEdBoard's membership engagement and program optimization initiatives, contributing to content strategy and communications efforts, while ensuring seamless operations and driving efficiencies. 
Our ideal candidate will come with excellent communication, strong organizational and project management skills, strategic thinking and a solution-oriented mindset, along with an eagerness and willingness to learn as training and mentorship will be provided to bridge any experience gaps and facilitate continuous growth and development!  

Responsibilities
Project Management & Administration: 

  • Supporting Community Engagement programs and initiatives, assisting Executive Director with task management and organization efforts. 
  • Maintaining operational effectiveness by streamlining project coordination, assisting with scheduling and program logistics, and facilitating stakeholder communication.
Content & Communications:  
  • Writing and designing materials, including social media posts, newsletters, press releases, and presentations, using Canva or similar tools. 
  • Creating post webinar documentation including webinar summary, key takeaways, outreach strategy, transcripts and more.
  • Supporting new member outreach and communication efforts. 
Research & Data Management: 
  • Keeping prospect lists current and researching relevant articles for content pipeline. 
  • Handling registration data and updating tracking systems. 
  • Organizing and tracking CEB membership and sponsor contracts in CMS. 
  • Assisting with targeted data pulls from Hivebrite for the team. 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • 1-3 years of experience in administrative support, project coordination, marketing, or event management. 
  • Project management skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines efficiently. 
  • Basic knowledge of email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot) for outreach and newsletters. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting emails, newsletters, and social media posts. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  • Experience working with spreadsheets and tracking systems for managing lists and data.
  • Basic research skills to stay updated on relevant industry trends. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment, supporting senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
​​Bonus Experience (Nice-to-Have but Not Required): 
  • Experience in content coordination and/or social media management.
  • Experience handling stakeholder communication and managing outreach efforts. 
  • Familiarity with CRM, CMS, or membership management platforms (e.g., Hivebrite, Salesforce.)
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com.)
  • Exposure to contract management or working with sponsors. 
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity or technology industry trends.
