OverviewProvides primary support for corporate communications functions related to employee communications, recruitment social media communications, and employee engagement events and activities. Assists with the development and execution of People & Culture initiatives that reinforces A-dec’s culture and priorities, elevates the employee experience, and champions diversity, equity and inclusion.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans, designs, shoots, writes, edits, and distributes employee communications including weekly publications, intranet and digital displays, signage, videos, podcasts, and other corporate messaging as needed. Adheres to corporate standards for consistency, timing and publishing and style guidelines. Monitors and responds to content engagement.
- Plans, writes, shoots, edits and monitors TeamAdec social media content in partnership with team members in People & Culture and Creative Services (Marketing). Adheres to corporate brand standards for content development, consistency for cadence of social media publishing, and timeliness of response to user comments on TeamAdec accounts. Monitors and responds to audience engagement.
- Leads coordination of planning, promotion and execution of People & Culture employee engagement events, including monthly Service Recognition events, annual employee events (Summer Picnic, Holiday Party, etc.), company meetings, team celebrations, and other activities as assigned. Oversees and maintains department and corporate events calendar to ensure team visibility and collaboration.
- Writes and edits employee engagement and recognition communication deliverables, including retirement letters / Special Editions, memorial statements, and other materials as assigned.
- Develops strategies and tactics with Head of Communications and counterparts in People & Culture department to measure employee engagement, and work with applicable stakeholders to fill engagement gaps through cross-functional communication.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to utilize resources effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with a team, collaboratively with other departments throughout the company, as well as independently.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using a variety of media types, including social media, disseminated to a wide variety of internal organizational members and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.).
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Audition) or Canva for graphic design and video production.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3-5 years of social media marketing, event planning, HR, public relations, or journalism experience.
