ABOUT THE ROLE

The Communication and Media Officer develop and implement effective communication and media strategies that increase CRECA’s visibility, communicate its impact, and engage stakeholders, partners, communities, and the public on renewable energy, climate action, and sustainable development.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

§  Develop and produce engaging communication materials, social media content, reports, and success stories.

§  Manage and maintain CRECA’s social media platforms and support the development of a consistent and professional online presence.

§  Develop creative content, including graphics, photographs, videos, and other digital media, to communicate CRECA’s activities, projects, and impact.

§  Support media relations by preparing press releases, media briefs, talking points, and other communication materials.

§  Document organizational activities, events, field activities, and project achievements through photography, videography, interviews, and written stories.

§  Support the development and implementation of communication campaigns on renewable energy, climate action, environmental sustainability, and related issues.

§  Monitor media and digital platforms to identify relevant trends, opportunities, and conversations related to CRECA’s areas of work.

§  Collaborate with project and program teams to ensure that key achievements, lessons learned, and impacts are effectively communicated.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

§  Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate content.

§  0–2 years of experience in communications, media, journalism, public relations, digital communications, or a related field. Relevant internship, volunteer, academic, or practical experience is welcome.

§  Strong understanding of social media platforms and digital communication.

§  Basic skills in graphic design, photography, videography, or video editing are an advantage.

§  Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with digital content creation and communication tools.

§  Strong storytelling, editing, research, and interpersonal skills.

§  Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic organizational environment.

§  Interest or experience in climate action, renewable energy, environmental sustainability, or development issues is an advantage.

§  Effective communication campaigns supporting CRECA’s programs, projects, and advocacy initiatives.

§  Increased visibility and public awareness of CRECA’s work, impact, and contribution to sustainable development.



Skills Required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • 0-2 years of experience in communications, media, journalism, public relations, digital communications, or a related field (internship/volunteer/academic experience acceptable)
