COMMUNICATIONS AND DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST
Marsh is looking for a talented and proactive candidate to join our Marketing & Communications Team in Italy, based in Milan, with a focus on Communications, Media Relations and Digital Marketing.
About the Function:
The Marketing & Communications function plays a key role in supporting business growth, strengthening brand positioning, and enhancing client engagement across all business lines. Working closely with local and international stakeholders, the team develops and executes integrated marketing and communication initiatives that support commercial priorities, thought leadership, lead generation, and client relationship management.
About the role:
As a Marketing Business Partner, you will be a key contributor to Marsh Italy's communications, media relations and digital marketing strategy. You will drive the development and execution of integrated media relations initiatives, shape our external communications strategy, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders and media across Italy. You will balance strategic PR activities with hands-on digital marketing initiatives - localizing and deploying regional and global campaigns, managing our digital ecosystem and social media channels.

Key Responsibilities of the role:
You will contribute to the following activities:
Public Relations & Media Strategy
Develop and execute media relations plans aligned with business priorities and reputation goals;
Identify proactive opportunities for thought leadership, commentary, and spokesperson visibility;
Prepare and coordinate media interviews, including message development and briefing packs for senior leaders;
Monitor news cycles, media coverage, and emerging issues; provide media monitoring reports and insights;
Collaborate closely with Business Leaders and subject matter experts to translate complex topics into clear, newsworthy narratives
Work with external PR agencies and vendors when needed; manage timelines, approvals, and deliverables.
Content Development & Internal Communication
Draft, edit, and localize high-quality contents across diverse formats and channels;
Create, publish, and optimize digital content according to SEO best practices and content performance insights;
Develop integrated communication materials that support both PR and digital marketing initiatives;
Contribute proactively to corporate communication activities, identifying relevant market trends, business news, and content opportunities;
Support the development and execution of internal communication strategies to enhance employee engagement and organizational alignment;
Create and coordinate internal communication campaigns and newsletters across multiple channels in collaboration with HR and Business Leadership.
Digital Marketing & Social Media Management
Support localization and execution of European and global marketing campaigns for the Italian market, ensuring alignment with local business priorities;
Support digital communication projects from concept development through execution and launch, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards;
Manage the editorial planning and scheduling of social media activities, with particular focus on LinkedIn;
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and regional marketing teams to develop integrated initiatives.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, Communication Design, or a related field;
Proven professional experience in marketing and communications within a large, complex, and matrixed organization and/or a communications agency environment;
Proven experience in media relations, public relations and corporate communication in fast-paced and highly regulated business environments;
Strong understanding of the Italian media landscape and what drives news value;
Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines and respond calmly in fast-moving situations;
Excellent project management and strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence working with senior leaders;
Strong writing and editing skills in both Italian and English, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging, and audience-focused content;
Experience with media monitoring tools and reporting;
Knowledge of digital marketing principles and best practices
Experience with social media management platforms and email marketing tools
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Office 365) project management tools, and digital collaboration platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in marketing & communication roles in similar industries companies;
Experience with basic content creation tools; visual design software is a plus;
Experience working in international and cross-functional environments.

What we offer:
The position is offered on a temporary 1-year fixed-term basis;
We propose a gross annual salary starting from € 32.000 for a full-time position. Depending on experience, skills and qualifications, we are willing to consider compensation above the starting salary. Further details will be shared during the selection process or directly in the employment contract;
The National Collective Bargaining Agreement (NCBA) applied is "Terziario, Distribuzione e Servizi”.
