Commission Manager
The Role:
As a Commissions Manager within our Strategic Finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Sales Commission process. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and fairness in our commission structures, directly impacting the motivation and performance of our sales teams.
This is a full-time remote position to be based in the United States, and will report to the Director of Strategic Finance.
What You'll Do:
- Run Sales Commission Process: Lead the day-to-day execution of the Sales Commission process, including managing Sales Performance Incentive Funds (SPIFs), and ensuring precise and timely commission calculations.
- Manage SIP Changes: Coordinate changes to Sales Incentive Plans (SIPs) across Sales, Solutioning, BDR, and Channel teams, fostering collaboration with the BizOps team to streamline operations.
- Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve commission dispute tickets promptly, escalating issues as needed, and meticulously documenting resolutions to uphold legal and audit standards.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct regular Root Cause Analysis of dispute tickets to identify trends and areas for process improvement, driving ongoing optimization of our commission processes.
- Commission/SPIF Implementation: Implement changes to Sales Performance Incentive Funds (SPIFs) through the front-end system, ensuring accurate adjustments and driving desired sales behaviors.
- Commission Data Management: Monitor and manage data in Spiff, finalizing and Freezing commission data by the 15th of each month to facilitate timely data transfer to Payroll for processing.
Who You Are & What You'll Do:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the technology or telecommunications industry.
- Proficiency in commission structures, incentive plans, and sales compensation principles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working across departments.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance in handling financial data and dispute resolution.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (Spiff, Salesforce, Excel) is required
