ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions and Primary Duties
- Enter commissions received into commission accounting systems in an accurate and timely manner
- Ensure batch totals entered into accounting system (Applied Epic) reconcile to the amount recorded in the Deposit Register. Any differences are to be investigated and resolved
- Resolve a full range of internal and external requests (i.e. discrepancies)
- Perform clerical work such as scanning, running reports, Filing, copying, faxing etc.
- Assist with training on subject matter (i.e. commission accounting tasks)
- Become proficient in the use of commission accounting system and understand the ramifications of data entered and its impact on the financial operations of the company
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Accounting and insurance experience or accounting education
- Basic math skills
- Proficient use of Excel
- Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Required
High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor’s Degree or two years of experience on a specialized subject matter
Must maintain current required licenses and certifications relevant to field of expertise
Demonstrates the ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
Effective customer service skills
Proficient use of applicable technology
Ability to work in team environment as well as independently
Ability to analyze and prioritize multiple responsibilities
