At Corporate Tools, we don't want offices. We want hubs. Spaces people are genuinely excited to walk into, where they build community with their coworkers and feel energized to do next-level work. Every hub should feel unmistakably ours. Not trendy for the sake of trendy, but built to last, built to feel intentional.
We're looking for a Commercial Workplace Designer to take that vision and turn it into something repeatable. A real design standard we can apply across every hub in the portfolio, with room for local flare in each market, instead of reinventing the wheel every time we open a new location. You'll work closely with our Real Estate team on everything from space planning and furniture selection to finishes, signage, and the small details most people never notice but absolutely feel. We operate in all 50 states, so this standard needs to travel.
If you want to stand out, show us your work by attaching your portfolio in the project section of your application!
Wage
$100,000 to $100,000 / year
Benefits
-
100% employer-paid medical, dental & vision Full coverage for employees - nothing comes out of your paycheck. Plus an annual review with a raise option. -
Time off that grows with you 22 days PTO + 4 holidays to start. After 3 years it bumps to 29 days, and after 5 years you move to flexible time off - not accrued, not capped. Take time off when you want. -
Parental leave & 401(k) match Paid parental leave, plus up to 6% company 401(k) matching with no vesting period - it's yours from day one. -
Quarterly allowance Spend it on whatever makes work better: a comfier remote setup, continuing-education classes, a plant for your desk, coffee for a coworker, a massage for yourself... really, whatever. -
No dumb perks (and a trail mix bar) No weekend dog-walking gimmicks that look cool but cost nothing because nobody uses them. We spend on benefits you'll actually use - an open-concept office, friendly coworkers, a creative environment, and yeah... a trail mix bar.
Responsibilities
- Own and continue building out our design standards playbook
- Lead interior design and space planning for new builds, remodels, and refreshes across our commercial property portfolio, applying that standard consistently
- Develop floor plans, finish schedules, and FF&E specifications that balance function, budget, and brand
- Source and select furniture, fixtures, materials, and finishes, and manage relationships with vendors and reps who make that possible
- Create design concepts and presentation materials (renderings, mood boards, floor plans) that get stakeholders on the same page fast
- Partner with the Director of Real Estate and facilities team on capital improvement projects, prioritizing based on impact, cost, and timeline
- Manage multiple projects at different stages simultaneously without losing track of a single one
- Coordinate with contractors and installers to make sure what you designed is actually what gets built
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 5+ years of experience in commercial interior design, ideally workplace/office environments
- Comfortable producing your own drawings, not just directing someone else's
- Experience managing and completing multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines
- You can sell a concept to a VP and also explain it to a facilities tech
- A portfolio that shows range: you've designed spaces people actually want to work in, not just spaces that look good in a photo
- You know the difference between "on trend right now" and "still going to look great in ten years"
- Experience building or applying design standards/guidelines across multiple locations, so quality doesn't depend on who happens to be in the room

Why Work Here
You've spent your career making spaces work for the people in them. You know that great design isn't about trends, it's about whether someone walks into a room and feels like the company gave a damn. You get excited by the idea of building a design standard once and watching it show up, well-executed, in a dozen different buildings. You notice the sticker still on the door, the tape mark on the wall, the thing that's been "temporary" for six months and it bugs you. You've reached a point where you want ownership over how a space comes together from first sketch to final punch list, and you're tired of "good enough" being the bar. If "meh" makes you a little bit angry, this is your job.
Skills Required

- Ability to present concepts to executives and explain designs to facilities personnel
- Portfolio demonstrating a range of workplace or commercial interior design projects
- Experience building or applying design standards or guidelines across multiple locations

What We Do
Corporate Tools is proudly, stubbornly independent. No outside investors calling the shots. It’s just us choosing customers over profits, every time. We build the behind-the-scenes tools that keep businesses running: software, LLC filings, registered agent service, website and domain registration, address services… basically all the unglamorous stuff that makes companies actually work. We’ve grown into one of the largest B2B providers in the U.S. by sticking to a simple mission: solve the real, messy, confusing problems of starting and running a business, while keeping your privacy intact and making your life a whole lot easier.
Why Work With Us
We’re privately held, debt free, and focused on people. Not investors. That means we can keep hiring folks we like, building tools that actually work, and making sure our customers are taken care of. If you want to know more about what values drive us, check out our Company Principles.
