The Role

Job Description

General Summary:

The Senior Manager, International Launch Execution will be supporting the Launch Management team, responsible for leading country launch readiness for Vertex Cell and Gene (CGT) product in the international region. This role will be leading the Supply Chain Launch readiness by working together with a cross -functional team having members from Commercial, Finance, Regulatory, Quality and CMSC groups. This role will further include the support of product lifecycle management of Vertex Cell and Gene (CGT) products.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the AD, Launch Execution in the launch execution of Vertex Cell and Gene (CGT) products in the international region.
  • Support the AD, Launch Execution on product lifecycle management for Vertex Cell and Gene (CGT) products.
  • Support cross-functional stakeholders and ensures that all relevant information is captured to understand the specific requirements for every country and (in- and external) customer perspective.
  • Leads and hosts launch readiness meetings, align with and gather information from project team members, follow up and driving timely execution of actions items, publish meeting minutes, etc.
  • Leads Launch change control and relevant transactions in relevant Quality Management System (QMS) related to change control activity in the area of product lifecycle management and projects.
  • Regular reporting of status and escalate issues to both AD Launch Execution and to the Director, Launch Strategy.
  • Seek operational excellence and implement process improvements.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Specialized depth of knowledge on regulations relating to pharmaceutical supply chain activities (cGMP, GCP, GDP, import/export, computer systems/Part 11)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, often addressing novel/unusual situations and exercising judgement
  • Excellent ability to collaborate with other functional areas and build effective, productive business relationships
  • Project management skills and highly proficient at managing, tracking, and measuring
  • Technical knowledge of biotech and/or pharmaceutical product launches and working knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Comfortable with working in areas of uncertainty
  • Familiarity with Cell and Gene Therapy programs or short lead time cold chain operations
  • Highly proficient with use of applicable software systems
  • Displays proven effectiveness in managing stakeholder expectations, communicating in complex or sensitive situations and influencing/guiding others to build alignment on a proposed solution or topic.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline
  • Strong experience of the Commercial Supply chain cycles within Pharma/ Biotech.

Hybrid-Eligible Or On-Site Eligible

Flex Eligibility Status:

In this Hybrid-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as: 
1.    Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
2.    On-Site: work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
