As Coordinator Commercial Steering, you are part of the Commercial Steering department and play a central role in guiding commercial performance across the Benelux Area. You act as a commercial sparring partner for the Sales Clusters and as a key liaison with relevant Headquarter departments, ensuring alignment between strategy, execution, and results.
Your role focuses on commercial steering, coordination, and optimization: managing allocations, supporting forecasting and budgeting, monitoring sales performance, and translating market and customer insights into concrete actions. You work with figures and reports to support decisions, but your real value lies in your commercial judgment, analytical insight, and ability to connect people and priorities.
Responsibilities- Analyze and preserve data to improve our sales performance;
- Actively contribute to optimizing volumes and revenues to achieve our targets;
- Monitor market developments and adjust commercial strategies based on insights;
- Collaborate with internal teams (within the Benelux Area and other areas) to centralize information and streamline processes;
- Prepare accurate forecasts and reports;
- Provide ad-hoc support to the Sales Director in administrative and analytical matters;
- Lead and manage process improvement and automation initiatives across functions, in close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders;
- Monitor and analyze the performance of business processes and their KPIs, and identify opportunities for improvement;
- Analyze and optimize pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability, including monitoring market trends, competitor prices, and customer willingness to pay ;
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our customer base, including customer segmentation to identify key customer groups and tailor our commercial strategies to their specific needs and preferences ;
- Work with the sales team to develop targeted sales approaches and value propositions for each customer segment, and monitor the effectiveness of these approaches ;
- Continuously monitor and analyze customer behavior and preferences, and provide insights to the sales and marketing teams to inform their strategies and tactics .
- You are a data analyst with a strong analytical mindset, who enjoys in-depth analysis and works proactively and solution-oriented;
- You are a team player who takes initiative and performs well under pressure;
- You speak and write fluently in Dutch and English;
- You have good knowledge of common IT systems and process modeling concepts and notations;
- Good Excel skills are a must, and experience with data mining and programming concepts is a plus;
- You have expertise in process improvement (certification is desired, e.g. Six Sigma DMAIC) and can develop and implement new concepts;
- Experience with customer segmentation and analysis is a plus, and knowledge of market research and customer insight tools is desirable.
Technical Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (advanced skills in formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization);
- Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Alterix, QlikView, QlikSense, SalesForce Analytics;
- Knowledge of data mining such as Celonis and statistical analysis techniques, including regression analysis, clustering, and decision trees;
- Experience with CRM systems, such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics;
- Knowledge of data visualization tools;
- Understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts;
- Experience with process modeling and automation tools, such as Six Sigma DMAIC or workflow management systems;
- Advanced Excel skills.
