Exact compensation is determined by factors such as (but not limited to) education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This position offers additional compensation in the form of short-term incentives (i.e. bonus and/or commission) and may include long-term incentives (i.e. stock awards). Commercial Services Relationship Specialist

Salary Range: $64,480 - $87,360+ annually

Position Summary

The Commercial Services Relationship Specialist supports the Bank’s commercial client service efforts by assisting Relationship Managers in servicing and growing commercial relationships. This position plays a key role in preparing for client interactions, coordinating internal resources, and learning the fundamentals of commercial relationship management through hands-on experience. While not directly responsible for managing a portfolio or meeting revenue goals, the specialist will actively contribute to team success and prepare for future progression into a Commercial Services Relationship Manager (CSRM) role.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Support Relationship Managers with client outreach, call preparation, onboarding, and service coordination.
  • Assist in creating call plans, presentation materials, and follow-up communications for prospects and clients.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal coordination across Treasury Management, Credit, Merchant Services, and Operations.
  • Maintain up-to-date client data and pipeline activity within the Client Management System (CRM).
  • Participate in client meetings, internal sales huddles, and relationship strategy sessions to gain exposure and develop skills.
  • Learn and apply the fundamentals of commercial banking products and services, client analysis, and market strategy.
  • Develop knowledge of the Bank’s commercial structure, compliance requirements, and service delivery standards.
  • The role requires occasional travel for training and team meetings and a willingness to travel periodically to locations within market as needed.
  • May require work in a Midland office to ensure collaboration and support of internal and external customers.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a financial services, business development, or client support role.
  • Strong interest in developing a career in Commercial Banking.
  • Familiarity with commercial products and services is a plus.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to instruct others, interpret documents, and write reports and correspondence.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations
