Job Description:

The SMB Sales Director at Darktrace is responsible for leading and managing a high-performing sales team within a designated region. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies to meet targets, building and maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring the sales team operates efficiently and effectively. The Commercial Sales Director will also play a key role in coaching, mentoring, and motivating the sales team to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 8-10 Commercial Account Executives.
  • Develop and implement sales plans to meet targets.
  • Ensure the sales team operates efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide solutions to immediate problems in creative and effective ways.
  • Advise others on complex issues within the sales function.
  • Ability to support the team in negotiating complex deals for customer satisfaction and profitability.
  • Responsible for hiring decisions, contributing to compensation decisions, setting objectives, and managing the performance of the immediate team.
  • Focus on revenue growth with an understanding of fundamental revenue drivers

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3+ years leading a sales team of full-cycle AE’s.
  • Expert SaaS industry knowledge, cyber security knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Team management skills, including setting clear expectations and maintaining open communication.
  • Knowledge of performance metrics and ability to provide feedback.
  • Understanding of revenue forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration. Ability to build relationships beyond the immediate team.
