The Relationship Manager (“RM”) is responsible for retaining and expanding existing Select Markets’ relationships, as well as sourcing new commercial relationship via systematic networking with prospects and referral sources. This role will manage a portfolio of Select Markets clients.
Job Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining strong relationship with Select Markets clients.
- Proactively build business network while using effective prospecting strategies to attract new business opportunities.
- Uncover new business opportunities through cold calling, attending community events and following-through referrals.
- Partner with credit supporting team and Credit Officers in the development and analysis of financial background data for new or renewed loans.
- In collaboration with a dedicated Portfolio Manager, the incumbent will track existing loan portfolio to ensure complete conformity with terms and covenants, monitor and identify developing trends or early warning signs of problem credits, perform timely risk assessment based upon this information, update loan systems and customer credit files with assessments, and perform annual reviews.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's, preferably in a business-related field.
- Bilingual in English and Korean is required.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of commercial relationship management experience, or equivalent commercial lending experience.
- Must have credit skills including loan structuring and financial statement analysis as it pertains to business banking.
- Must have the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and manage conflicts effectively.
- Must be able to sell any product/service offered by the Bank, which includes not only commercial loans, but consumer products as well.
- Must have the ability to work independently, proactively, and innovatively in a fast-paced deadline driven environment while making sound decisions.
- Must possess superior customer service, sales, and business development skills.
- Must have excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Must be team orientated.
