Job Summary
Operations Support – To process all instructions and any relevant transactions within the Commercial Operations space as per laid down policies and proceduresJob Description
ProcessingProcess transactions on the different Bank’s systems
Liaise with the different departments of the bank to ensure that transactions are authorized before processing
Communicate with customer/RM in respect with Commercial transactions.
Attend to internal and external queries & requests.
Action diary report in connection with Commercial Processing activities.
Provide an excellent customer service.
Raise manual entries where required.
Comply to SLA and KPI in place.
Abide to Absa Banking practice & procedures
Maintain the highest standard of internal control & operating procedures in line with Absa group policies.
Effect proper filing
Escalate complaints to higher officials.
To ensure Performance review is conducted as and when required
Team Work
Work closely with other team members as one team to deliver excellent performance.
- Constantly seek to improve ways of working.
- Provide cover for other team members as required.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationship with front office staff/depts as well as other back-office staff/depts
Support in preparation of different returns for the Bank
Producing Management Information
Abiding to Incident Reporting procedure
Monthly statistics
Other Reporting as and when required.
Follow up on outstanding items on Suspense accounts for timely reconciliation.
Support Snap Checks/ Conformance & CPA testing
Assist in closure of Audit/Conformance testing’s
Degree
Minimum 1 year relevant experience or 2 years bank related experience
Knowledge of relevant processes and procedures
Working understanding of technical systems e.g. Morongwa, Teller, EBox, BAPS TRO, BAPS TRI , DHV Outward, HVPP – CBSS, MNS, SFI, Sybrin etc.
Knowledge of relevant Policies such as Manual Payment Policy, Best Practices Standards
Knowledge of relevant legislation e.g. KYC, Money Laundering, Service standards, Health and Safety standards, Wire Transfer Regulations etc.
Knowledge of team interfaces with other business areas, center and branches
