The Role

JOB TITLE:                              Data and Pricing Analyst                     


MAIN LOCATION:                    Jordan, Amman

The  Data and Pricing Analyst  is a strategic role responsible for managing both the operational and technical functions of the Pricing team. This position integrates high-impact transactional pricing execution with advanced tool development, automation, and team leadership - ensuring revenue optimization and scalability. The role also includes full team management and mentoring, along with accountability for technical project delivery and pricing transformation initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee two core pricing functions:
  • Transactional Pricing Function: Handling complex DSR requests, ensuring pricing accuracy to prevent revenue leakage and protect commercial integrity.
  • Technical Project Function: Lead automation, backlog resolution, and tool development initiatives using Power BI, Python, and Streamlit.
  • Design, develop, and maintain pricing models, analytical tools, and automation scripts to optimize pricing decisions and reduce manual workload.
  • Lead the technical enablement of the team through structured training on tools, methodologies, and data handling practices.
  • Act as the technical point of escalation for both tool-related challenges and pricing case complexities.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Operations teams to ensure pricing strategy aligns with broader business goals.
  • Promote and lead a culture of continuous improvement, automation, and process optimization.
  • Ensure full adherence to pricing governance, version control, and audit requirements.
  • Provide leadership continuity in the transition following the departure of the former team leader.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven leadership and people management experience, including coaching junior team members to independence and high performance.
  • Strong strategic thinking, with ability to manage team capacity, set priorities, and deliver against aggressive timelines.
  • High proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Python; working knowledge of Streamlit or similar frameworks a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical tools and workflows that scale pricing operations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to present both technical insights and commercial rationale to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail, with ability to manage multiple workstreams in a high-stakes environment.
  • Solid financial analysis and commercial reporting capabilities.
  • Previous experience handling customer enquiries and delivering structured case management.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with strong communication and report writing skills.
  • Proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and listening skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Additional Requirements:

  • In addition to the responsibilities listed above the post holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Senior Management Team from time-to-time. Subject to adequate experience and/or training.
  • To participate in the annual performance appraisal process and objective scheme.
  • To work in accordance with all APG policies including Health and Safety, Employment, Staff, Quality and Environmental.
  • To adhere to company wide information security policies, as outlined and agreed within the first month of employment.
