JOB TITLE: Commercial Pricing Analysis Executive
RESPONSIBLE TO: Commercial Pricing Analysis Senior
MAIN LOCATION: Jordan, Amman
Objective:
The Commercial Pricing Analysis Executive is responsible for providing analytical and operational support for pricing activities across the parcel freight business. This role involves detailed case management, customer-specific pricing analysis, and adherence to formal processes for pricing approvals. The successful candidate will contribute to commercial outcomes by supporting the Sales team with data-driven recommendations, clear pricing justifications, and structured analysis aligned with company objectives. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to strategic pricing initiatives in a fast-paced freight and logistics environment. The Pricing Executive will work cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Operations to support commercial objectives through structured analysis and disciplined pricing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver pricing support for individual customer cases, including end-to-end case management.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis of customer data to inform pricing decisions.
- Support the transition of customer cohorts to new pricing offers as part of strategic initiatives.
- Adhere to formal processes for pricing review and escalation to decision-making forums.
- Document and communicate pricing outcomes with clarity and consistency.
- Collaborate with the Sales team to provide commercially sound, data-driven pricing justifications.
- Investigate pricing anomalies or trends and provide actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Contribute to process improvements and support operational efficiency in pricing-related workflows.
Essential Skills:
- 2 years+ experience in a similar role
- Power BI skills – including data modeling, DAX, and report performance optimization
- Proficiency in Python – particularly for data automation, transformation, and internal tool development
- Experience with large datasets and working knowledge of SQL
- Data analytics using Excel and business intelligence tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
- Financial analysis and reporting
- Experience in managing customers enquiries effectively and efficiently
- Problem solving and listening
- Advanced written and spoken English
- Proactive Approach
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Flexibility in relation to working hours and locations
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong report writing skills
Desirable experience:
- Experience using Streamlit
- Sales or service industry experience
- Case management systems or structured workflows
- Process design, management, or automation
- Database design and maintenance
Additional Requirements:
- In addition to the responsibilities listed above the post holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Senior Management Team from time-to-time. Subject to adequate experience and/or training.
- To participate in the annual performance appraisal process and objective scheme.
