The Commercial Portfolio Manager will manage a portfolio of existing commercial banking customer relationships as assigned by the C&I team leader or department manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Team Manager or Department Manager to support the credit administration and servicing needs of that Manager’s customer portfolio.

  • Manage a portfolio of existing loans including annual reviews, modifications, renewals/extensions etc.

  • Overall responsibility for ensuring the effective and efficient underwriting of commercial loans in alignment with the Bank’s risk tolerance.

  • Join prospect/customer calls with the lending team.

  • Interview customers and their consultants to gather information concerning their business, financial condition, and operating performance to evaluate financing needs.

  • Acts as a liaison to internal business partners and third-party professionals.

  • Assist corporate banking trainees and credit analysts in the development, analysis and preparation of financial background for Business Banking Clients.

  • Complexity of the customer relationships managed, any credit authority extended, and the designation of the Portfolio Manager is determined by the candidate’s work experience and training.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business-related field, or equivalent experience in retail and commercial banking divisions.

  • Must have at least 4 years of prior credit underwriting and/or portfolio management related experience.

  • Must have strong knowledge of commercial and consumer loan and deposit products.

  • Experience using nCino and Moodys is preferred.

  • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must have the ability to thoroughly interpret financial data and use sound business judgment.

  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as excellent listening ability and presentation skills.

  • Must have excellent attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Salary Range:

$52,433.00 - $86,137.25

Individual base pay may vary on additional factors such as the candidate’s experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
