The Role

We are looking for our future Commercial Manager to join our team in Portugal.

You will join a dynamic and passionate team working towards the same goal: helping people breathe better. As a Commercial Manager, you will contribute to strengthening Resmed’s leading position in the market by driving sustainable sales growth and deepening long-term partnerships with Home Care Providers, Public Administrations, Hospitals, and Key Opinion Leaders.

This position combines commercial execution, market development, strategic account management, and clinical advocacy. You will ensure that Resmed is represented as an ethical, innovative, and leading medical technology company in the fields of Sleep & Diagnostics and Ventilation. The role can be based in the Greater Porto or Greater Lisbon area and reports to the Country Manager for Spain & Portugal.

Let's talk about responsibilities :

Commercial Strategy & Market Development

  • Drive sales growth and increase market share for the Sleep & Diagnostics and Ventilation portfolios.
  • Create, implement, and regularly review territory business plans aligned with national and Iberian strategies.
  • Identify and act on local opportunities that improve patient pathways, strengthen partnerships, and grow referrals for OSA and ventilation therapies.
  • Develop strong and trust-based relationships with Home Care Providers, Public Administrations, Doctors, and Key Opinion Leaders to promote Resmed solutions.

Account Management & Sales Execution

  • Achieve quarterly sales targets and performance KPIs for Sleep & Diagnostics and Ventilation.
  • Understand customer needs and deliver measurable value for both customers and Resmed, positioning the company as a preferred clinical and business partner.
  • Work innovatively to ensure customers receive best-in-class support, services, and solutions.
  • Navigate the sales process with tenacity, identifying opportunities for growth even in resource-limited environments.

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, product performance, and customer insights.
  • Report monthly and quarterly on sales results, market share evolution, and strategic opportunities or threats.
  • Provide clear, data-based recommendations that support decision-making at national and Iberian levels.

Compliance & Ethical Conduct

  • Ensure strict compliance with all internal policies, regulatory frameworks, and ethical healthcare industry standards.
  • Represent Resmed with integrity and professionalism in all internal and external interactions.

Let's talk about qualifications and experience :

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or Clinical discipline.
  • Preferred master’s degree in business administration or health economics.
  • 3–5 years of experience in commercial roles within Medical Devices, Digital Health, or Pharma, ideally involving high clinical engagement, multi-stakeholder environments, and market development in competitive healthcare sectors.
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English (written and spoken) is required; Spanish is considered a strong plus.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms (such as Salesforce.com), with the ability to leverage data and digital tools, including AI-driven solutions, to accelerate insights, strengthen customer engagement, and drive commercial performance.
  • Familiarity with IA enabled productivity, automation, and sales intelligence tools considered a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional communicator with strong influencing skills, able to navigate complex environments and build high-value relationships while maintaining impeccable organization and focus.
  • Proactive, hands-on mindset with a strong sense of ownership and a drive to anticipate opportunities, streamline processes, and ensure flawless execution.
  • Strategic analytical thinker with strong project management discipline, driven by results, resilience, and a high-performance mindset.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in an international, fast-paced, matrixed environment, maintaining clarity, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Flexibility to travel across the Iberian region as needed and comfortable working remotely while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with virtual teams.
